Deadly Premonition or Heavy Rain?

I love Sands of Time, I love the Prince of Persia franchise -- but it is going to take one amazing movie for me to get over the fact that Hollywood/Disney couldn’t hire ethnic actors for ethnic roles.

What a pile of fucking trash. I’m going to play the Ubisoft Montreal (Canada, yay!) masterpiece and pretend one day the world will make sense and be fair.

It’s kinda like they figured that since Kingsley played Ghandi that the portrayed ethnicity would carry over and be enough for this abortion of a film.
Jake Gyllenhal? Really? That’s the best they could do? I dont even care if I spelled his name wrong, he’s a worthless actor whos talent lies in gay porn and his sister looks like someone used a shot gun to apply silly putty to Skelators face.

    Ain’t you seen Donnie Darko?

But yeah, this looks an awful lot like a The Mummy movie.

  • Nothing against the actor…in fact Donnie Darko is awesome. I just hate where this title is going…plus there was an actual Persian Prince that wanted to do the role.

An actual prince? Hell yeah. That’s damn fucking cool.

Of course, he’d likely be a terrible choice. But still, the marketing writes itself.

Any other choices come to mind? Us gamer types surely can’t appreciate the need for recognizable actors in these roles…let alone good acting…oh no no…I can see the thought process of the hollwood execs right now..haha

I’d recommend Naveen Andrews a.k.a “the arab guy on LOST” for this role only because he’s the only guy that comes to mind purely based on the aforementioned ethnic criteria…

  • Naveen Andrews would have been pretty slick.
